WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Highland Park Church of God is affiliated with the Church of God, Anderson, Indiana. There is no church “membership” here. We believe that every believer is part of the body of Christ, the Church. When a person accepts Christ as Savior and Lord, they become part of the church family.
It is our mission to be a body of believers commissioned by Jesus Christ to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything Christ has commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19) We do this by:
CONNECTING People to Christ, the Church and the community.
SERVING the Church and the Community as the Spirit Gifts us
GROWING in this New Life Together
We observe COMMUNION the first Sunday of the month. It is our belief that this is the Table of the Lord Jesus Christ and all are welcome to the Table. We ask that children come with an adult who will explain to them the beautiful message of Communion: that Jesus Christ gave Himself up for the forgiveness of our sins.
We practice BAPTISM of Believers. We believe that baptism is an outward and visible testimony of a personal decision that has been made to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord and a choice to follow Him.
The church practices BABY DEDICATION, thanking God for the precious gift of children, with parents and the church making a commitment to raise this child in faith to know and follow to Jesus.
