Dear Friends/Partners in the Faith,
WE WERE MADE TO WORSHIP. However, sometimes as leaders of worship in this day of battling priorities for our time and attention, it can be difficult to experience true worship ourselves. That can be a real challenge when planning and leading worship for others that is rich, meaningful, and relevant. Sometimes we simply find ourselves caught in a routine, in a rut, or in a disconnect with God in worship. Maybe that is where you or I find ourselves at times. But that is not where we want to stay!
We want to invest in our worship leaders and those interested in the worship process by giving them tools, encouragement, and training for renewal and for enabling them to effectively lead and prompt worship in the church. We first have to learn to worship ourselves. We sought out two of the nation’s finest music ministers and worship leaders. And we want to share this opportunity with as many other church leaders as possible!
George Skramstad has directed and led worship for over 50 years in the Church of God and served churches in N.J., Ohio, Phoenix, Oklahoma City, and Wichita, KS. George is married to Pat and have one son, Max, and his wife Saki. He has served for over 23 years on the Renovare Board as worship leader and team member along with founder, Richard Foster. He currently serves at Central Community Church in Wichita, Kansas.

She is married to Jan Wisler and they have two sons, David (the lead trumpeter with the “In The Mood Live Band”), and Brad, wife Eryn, and two grandchildren, Wade and Hattie. She has also been a private piano, organ, and voice teacher for 55 years. She is currently serving as Director of Music and Worship at Christ Lutheran Church (MSL) in Anderson, IN.
